We build pricing models covering the whole UK used market, aggregate owner and expert reviews, publish our methodology, and answer reader questions daily — with help from Theo, our AI assistant, grounded in our own data and published standards.

How we make money
We earn commission from dealers when a buyer enquires or a car sells, and from lenders when a finance introduction completes. Using the site — searches, checks, guides, valuations — is always free for you, and commission never influences our ratings. We never charge consumers and never sell personal data.
Our organic ranking is driven by price, distance, finance affordability and dealer rating — never by payment. A dealer can pay to promote an individual car in the default view: those listings are always clearly labelled ‘Sponsored’, are never shown first, are capped at one in twelve results and one per dealer, are excluded from price-sorted views, and can never be a car we rate as above market price.
