Where does this charge-point data come from?

From Open Charge Map, a community-maintained open dataset of public EV charging locations across the UK and worldwide. We sync the GB dataset and refresh it regularly.

What's the difference between a slow, fast and rapid charger?

Roughly: slow chargers are up to 7kW (a full charge overnight), fast chargers are 7–49kW (a few hours), and rapid/ultra-rapid chargers are 50kW and up, adding significant range in 20–40 minutes.

Do I need a subscription to use these charge points?

It depends on the operator — some rapid-charging networks (e.g. motorway services) accept contactless payment with no account, others require an app or RFID card. Check the operator shown against each charge point before you travel.
