The London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has been enforced since April 2019. Its charge area: All 32 boroughs of Greater London (the ULEZ was expanded on 29 August 2023 to cover the entire Greater London area). The zone operates 24/7 (every day of the year except Christmas Day).

Non-compliant cars pay £12.50/day to drive in the zone. In full: £12.50 per day for non-compliant cars, vans, motorcycles and minibuses. Non-compliant heavy vehicles (HGVs, buses, coaches) pay £100 per day under the separate London LEZ scheme. Vehicles that meet the standard (Petrol vehicles must meet Euro 4 and diesel vehicles Euro 6. Non-compliant cars, vans, minibuses pay ULEZ; larger vehicles must meet Euro VI or pay separate LEZ charges.) and all fully electric cars pay nothing.
