Every check pulls live data from DVSA (full MOT pass/fail history with advisories and mileage), DVLA (tax status, MOT status, fuel type, CO₂, registration date) and our own sales history (every dealer that's listed the car, asking prices and days on market). AI risk insights then flag recurring advisories so you know what to inspect.

Yes — every check is free and there's no signup. We make money when buyers finance a car through one of our approved dealers, not from history reports.

How accurate is the data?

Accepted Answer

MOT and DVLA data is sourced directly from the government APIs and is as current as the official record. Sales history comes from the same dataset that powers our used-car search and is refreshed daily.

Will checking history affect the seller or my credit?

Accepted Answer

No. It's a public-record lookup — the seller isn't notified and there's no credit check involved.

What if I can't find my car?

Accepted Answer

Some very new cars or recently re-registered vehicles may not yet appear in MOT records (MOTs are required from the third anniversary). Try again in a few days or check directly on gov.uk.
