How Ford Focus finance works
PCP (Personal Contract Purchase)
Lower monthly payments because a large "optional final payment" is deferred to the end. At the end you choose to pay it and keep the Focus, hand it back, or part-exchange. Mileage limits apply.
How PCP works →HP (Hire Purchase)
The whole price (minus deposit) is spread over the term. Payments are usually higher than PCP, but you own the Focus outright at the end and there are no mileage limits.
How HP works → Soft search

Frequently asked questions
- How much is a Ford Focus on finance per month?
- Finance on a used Ford Focus starts from around £70 a month, depending on the price, your deposit and the term. See the representative example on this page for a worked Ford Focus deal with the full APR and totals.
- Can I get a Ford Focus on PCP?
- Yes. Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) is available on most used Ford Focus listings through our approved dealers. PCP keeps monthly payments lower by deferring a large "optional final payment" to the end; you then choose to pay it and keep the car, hand the car back, or part-exchange. Finance is subject to status and approval.
- PCP or HP on a Ford Focus — which is better?
- Hire Purchase (HP) spreads the whole price (minus deposit) over the term, so you own the Focus outright at the end and monthly payments are usually higher. PCP defers part of the value to a final balloon payment, so monthlies are lower but you don't automatically own the car. HP suits high-mileage drivers who want to keep the car; PCP suits lower monthly budgets and shorter ownership. Our PCP-vs-HP guide explains the trade-offs.
- Can I get Ford Focus finance with bad credit?
- Possibly. Some of our approved dealers work with lenders that consider applicants with a poor or limited credit history, though the APR is typically higher and approval is never guaranteed. Finance is always subject to status, income and creditworthiness. See our bad-credit car finance guide before applying.
- How much deposit do I need for a Ford Focus?
- There's no fixed minimum — many Ford Focus agreements are available with a small or even zero deposit, subject to status. A larger deposit lowers the amount you borrow and your monthly payments. The representative example on this page shows the deposit used for that specific quote.
- How much is a used Ford Focus per month on finance?
- You could finance a used Ford Focus from as little as £60 per month. This representative example is based on Hire Purchase (HP) with a 13% APR over 60 months and no deposit. Finance is subject to status.
- What deposit and APR do I need for a used Ford Focus?
- The representative finance example for a Ford Focus is shown with no deposit and a 13% APR. Your personal APR and deposit requirements will depend on your credit history and individual affordability assessment.
- What's the difference between HP and PCP for a used Ford Focus?
- With Hire Purchase (HP), you own the Ford Focus outright once all payments are made. With Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), you have options at the end of the term: buy the car for a final lump sum, return it, or part-exchange it for a new vehicle.
- Can I get finance on a used Ford Focus with the price range shown?
- Yes, finance is generally available across the range of used Ford Focus models, which are currently priced from £2,499 up to £22,295. Monthly payments for a used Ford Focus can start from £60.
